These Hooves Were Made for Runnin’

A few hours after birth, a Caribou calf can run up to 75 kilometres per hour! Not only are Caribou swift on their feet, they also have specialized hooves that spread wide so they can run in wet muskeg and on snow and ice without sinking. Their hooves also make good paddles for swimming!
